Arakatu is a large scale agricultural producer and exporter of Cotton and Coffee. It also produces Corn and Soyabeans. It owns 6, 100 hectares of farmland in Western Bahia, one of the farms is irrigated with 15 Pivots the other is located on the edge of the plateau in a high rainfall area and is rainfed. Arakatu posseses it's own coffee processing facilties and also owns a local coffee roasting company and is currently in the process of constructing a 900 bale per day cotton gin. [Details]
